SMILE is our new writing project, and an opportunity for us to make a creative contribution to the issue of sexual harassment towards women in public, which is endemic in our society. From the wolf whistle to the arse grab, at the bus stop or on the tube, the culture of sexual intimidation & harassment towards women in public is rife on our streets, and in our towns & cities. We're working with an amazing bunch of creatives to produce new work inspired by direct accounts of sexual harassment in public. We're inviting individuals to share their personal accounts of Sexual harassment of this nature and would love to hear from you if you have a story that you'd like to share.
We're delighted that Georgina Strawson of Hitting The Wall productions will act as our main collaborator on this project. We hope that you will support us in our desire to create something positive from the many negative situations where women are made to feel unsafe, unsure, angry & anonymous as a result of this behaviour.
